Level 1 Swim Teacher

Level 1 Swim Teachers are able to apply the best techniques and goals for the youngest of swimmers.

Comfort via repetition is key for training the swim teacher and this is achieved through home study programs, classroom instruction, multimedia presentations and in-water training.

Course Fee

  • Level 1 Swim Teacher:

    • $599 (UP: $699)

  • React Right Course:

    • $150 (Compulsory if you do not have a valid Standard First Aid + AED Certification)

      • Candidates with the following valid ​swimming coaching certifications - NROC (Swimming), STA (BTC), Swim Australia (Austswim Level 1).

    • $50 OFF

      • Candidates who sign up for React Right Course together with Level 1 Swim Teacher Course.

Prerequisties

  • Minum age: 18 years old

  • Swim ability:

  1. 100 meters head up front crawl 

  2. 25 meters front crawl​ 

  3. 25 meters elemental back

  4. 2 meters underwater dive

Duration

  • Recommended hours for completion: 20-24

  • Apprenticeship training : at least 12 hr

  • The number of classes, hours, and sessions per day are set by the Swim Teacher Instructor, based on the candidate’s needs and ability.

Requirements For Completion

  • Complete all academic sections and assessments as outlined in the Level 1 Swim Teacher Instructor Manual.

  •  Complete a Level 1 Swim Teacher final exam with a passing score of 90%.

  •  Complete at least twelve (12) hours of apprenticeship training.
